\"\"<\/a>We caught up with local singer\/songwriter Kim Taylor after her show at HullabaLOU Music Festival at Churchill Downs in Lousiville. Her music can often be heard on TV shows like Grey\u2019s Anatomy, LOST, and Hawthorne.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kim has been working on new music and will be releasing her latest recording this week in Cincinnati at Northside Tavern August 6, 2010.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Amy:<\/strong> How was your experience playing at the first HullabaLOU festival?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kim:<\/strong> Great. The production teams did a great job of caring for us before, during and after the set. Amazing help with NO attitudes and that was refreshing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Amy:<\/strong> What new music have you been working on? Have you been recording?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kim:<\/strong> I’m about to release my latest recording \u201cLittle Miracle.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 There’s a promotional campaign starting in the next couple of weeks with a Louisville based PR team that I used for my \u201cI Feel Like a Fading Light\u201d record in 2006.\u00a0 I’ve already had two TV placements from \u201cLittle Miracle\u201d<\/strong> so that’s been cool to see good reception with a new project.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Amy:<\/strong> We know you play guitar, but do you play any other obscure instruments and record with them?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kim:<\/strong> I always write on both piano and guitar.\u00a0 Piano was my first instrument.\u00a0 The new project is just me and my friend Jimi Zhivago (Out of NYC and plays with the band Ollabelle.)\u00a0 We play everything on it: guitars, piano, organs, percussion, etc. I played flute as a band nerd growing up, but I don’t play anything obscure, though.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Amy:<\/strong> Do you have any new songs being placed on TV right now?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kim:<\/strong> I have \u201cDays Like This (Greatest Story EP)\u201d on Army Wives (July 25th episode) then two more placements on Hawthorne and Flashpoint.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Amy:<\/strong> Is it true that you had no idea that the LOST <\/strong>Oceanic airlines song was for the show when you recorded it?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kim:<\/strong> I truly had no idea. I have never watched LOST.<\/strong>\u00a0 I don’t watch TV anymore.\u00a0 I don’t have time for it! Too much energy.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Amy:<\/strong> Do you have plans to play in Cincinnati again soon?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kim:<\/strong> I have a hometown release show for Little Miracle on AUGUST 6 at the Northside Tavern!\u00a0 Super excited about that. Everyone should come out and check it out.<\/p>\n
