As the summer concert series is winding down, I was able to end it with a bang. I shot Sammy Hagar and Aerosmith at Riverbend Music Center on 90210. It was important for me to work hard to get to shoot it since I don’t know how many more tours the band will take together. Steven Tyler is headed to American Idol and there seems to frustration between Tyler and bandmate Joe Perry. Last year’s tour was plagued by Steven Tyler falling off the stage and canceling many tour dates, a detour to rehab and the band breaking up and making up. I was just happy they made it safely to Cincy this year and to be standing right below them as they sang “Love In an Elevator.” Truly a rock-n-roll moment for me to remember.<\/p>\n

Sammy Hagar started the set with his original songs as well as some Van Halen classics. I couldn’t help but wonder whether he had purchased my (RED) inspired shirt that I had sent away to goodwill last year as I was shooting his performance. Sammy is a true performer and had three energy packed songs that will always excite any music\u00a0photographer as he sings full out to start the show.<\/p>\n

Aerosmith\u00a0posed for the camera as they played their hits as only true pros can do. They sounded amazing and put on an awesome show for their fans.<\/p>\n
